As Quebec independence is fading away in the murky waters of undefined autonomy and unrealistic endeavours of reopening the Constitutional "crab basket" in the futile hope to obtain something different than what the PQ had already obtained previously, the Scots are s;pw;y but surely treading the hard stone path to independence. The Scottish National Party (SNP) has trumped Labour at the recent Holyrood vote, which means that a simple majority is needed to implement the needed measures to sever what little political ties remain in Scotland towards the British Crown.
Seeing a move, a few days after the 300th anniversary of the dreaded Acts Of Union (the English threatened to end the free trade between Scotland and England), towards the birth of a new nation in Europe and especially on a land so keen on colonizing others is very heartening. Maybe Wales and Northern Ireland can follow suit and start their own currency and economic policies. The more the merrier.
