Sometimes, you wish you had your digital camera on and ready or that your eyes would be this Instamatic... I mean, usually i have my digital camera with me at all times but I had left it at home for once, when I went to my home university washroom to... come face to face with a mouse. No, not a lab mouse mind you, I work in the social sciences building. This was a genuine dirty gray mouse, very afraid of a big human, scrambling to find a hole and get the hell out of the place.
After several failed attempts to catch her with brown face paper wads, I cornered her with fallen ceilling parts and went out of the bathroom to get an empty Dole juice bottle. I managed to bottle her up and, as i figured, she couldn't jump out and I put the cap on. I showed the mouse to some of the people in the university, who immediately recoiled in repulsion and horror. Women AND men...
I figured if I handed the critter to the, ahem "authorities" it might get killed, so I just opened the bottle outside and set it free.
I did not feed it anything. I just gave it a second chance, that's all.
Weird how a small furry creature can instill feelings in us Humans.
Je crois que j'aurais quitté la toilette en criant si j'avais vu une souris...
tu l'as mis où dehors? Loin de l'université?
